A World That Madeline Foo Is Tired Of An Artificial...
2092. A world that Madeline Foo is tired of. Firstly, she is tired of being in an artificial environment. The plastic grass that was painted four times a year, the artificial trees that were programmed to grow five centimetres a year. They were all fake. They cannot photosynthesize and transpire nor can they produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide. This showed the advancement in technology of this world but it was reflected no more than a decaying city to Madeline. Secondly, self-centred was just one of the many few adjectives that Madeline used to describe her race. Kampong spirit and helping out one another in need? It was all but a fantasy. Reality was much harsher. Humans of today are too preoccupied with getting the latest technology and looking good to notice what is going on around them. Madeline found humans no better than automatons programmed to wake up, work, eat and sleep. They are hollow shells with no heart to feel and this was the thing that Madeline hated the most. Humans have no feelings. They pursue pleasures without knowing what it was. They have no compassion, no empathy, especially so when treating animals. Madeline got to her main point. She never undergone cosmetic surgeries and treatment because of a very simple reason-because animals were part of this; because of the horrible ordeal that animals are put through for people to produce such technology for human use.
